NYPD is investigating a crime in Jamaica

The NYPD released surveillance pictures of a perp wanted in connection to sex crime in Jamaica. The incident was reported this morning around 3am where a female victim, 50 years old stated of alleged rape in the vicinity of 89th Avenue and 162nd Street. The suspect followed the victim to the quiet residential block and displayed a weapon not to make any noise. After the incident, the victim ran to the public housing, NYCHA Shelton House for help. EMS transported the victim to a local hospital.

Police described the suspect as male, Hispanic, 20’s who took off on foot.

The detectives are working on the scene.
