NYPD investigating a homicide in Ozone Park

The NYPD reported a male was found shot dead inside a vehicle in Ozone Park. The incident was reported on Sunday around 1:30pm in the vicinity of 97th Street near Linden Blvd.

Detectives found a male, 32, with a gunshot wound inside a vehicle, Buick which was parked on the street after calls came in of someone unresponsive inside.

The vehicle has California license plates.

A local neighbor told police they heard the sound of gunshot around 2am on Sunday morning and might be related to it.

The medical examiner transported the body to conduct an autopsy.

So far no arrests.

Detectives are checking on the surveillance videos in the vicinity.
