NYC released homes under AEP

On February 12, the mayor's office released a list of residential buildings in NYC that needs major repairs where tenants still lives in deplorable conditions. Although the mayor's office didn't reply on city's housing that has more than 50,000 tenants without heat and hot water as well as other conditions, they addressed both issues are private and public concerns. The private programs falls under NYC Housing Preservation Dept's Alternative Enforcement Program (AEP). The city will do the repairs and send the bill to the owner of each building. In Queens, the lowest compared to Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Bronx with 18 buildings. The AEP was started 11 years under then mayor Bloomberg. If the building owner doesn't pay, the dues will become lien and the city will sell them at the auction.
