NYC crime victims data after citywide shooting

NYC continues to be the safest city according to the government officials from the Mayor, City Council to the Governor.

It's been 49 days since January 1st, 2026 and there were 58 shooting incidents in the city so far.

70 people were shot from the 58 incidents from murder to bullets.

The same data does not include knife incidents from slashing to stabbing or any other crimes involving weapons.

With more cops leaving the force and the lowest recruits, robberies continue to skyrocket followed by subway crimes.

Overall, the city is safe despite the crimes and taxpayer funds continue to drain on programs to combat violence.

Today the Mayor announced cuts to NYPD by canceling 5,000 new hires due to budget crisis.
