NYC cancels all events until September 30 except protests

Mayor de Blasio reported all outdoor events including parades and other city issued permits will be cancelled until September 30. The 3 most gatherings are West Indian Day Parade, Feast of San Gennaro and the India Day Parade are all cancelled this year. The mayor's goal is to have as much open spaces for public use including outdoor dining. However, protests without permits are allowed in NYC.
