NYC airport workers to get the highest minimum wage

On Thursday, March 22, The Port Authority of NY and NJ reported 40,000 airport workers will see their minimum wage rise to $19 per hour. The effect will be in September 2023. Beside LaGuardia and JFK, Newark Airport is also included. The final decision will be made in June 2018. From there, the pay will be $12.45 an hour for Newark airport workers from $10.45. Then $15.60 for all workers by Sept 2019 and increase until $19 by 2023.
