My name is Fatuki Tolapi and I am innocent

Nassau County Detectives reported a Queens man busted for grand larcenies and then escaped from jail yesterday, April 6 in Nassau County. Police went on massive search until the suspect was brought into custody after hiding at a home using a second name.

First name is Ted Paulicap from Laurelton who has had priors since 2013 when he was 17 years old while living with his parents in Elmont. Paulicap was busted yesterday for shoplifting at PC Richards at 51 Northern Blvd in Greenvale around 9am. After he was found nearby, he was taken into custody. Then around 10am, he escaped jail from the 6th Precinct on Community Drive in Nassau County.

After searching under a different name already used for grand larcenies previously using the name Fatuki Tolapi with a Laurelton, Queens address, he was taken into custody proclaiming police got the wrong guy.

The credit card company based in Iowa that provides line of credit for farmers nationwide got it approved under the second name. The card was used to purchase $1,200 worth of items and never paid for them. This is when Nassau County police tracked from the original complaint while back.

More charges are pending against Paulicap.
