Multiple grand larcenies by extortion reported in Glen Oaks

Police are reporting multiple grand larcenies in Glen Oaks. The targeted perimeter are around Union Turnpike between Little Neck Parkway and 260th Street. Most of the thefts are breaking and entry into premises including the corner building where Capital One used to be. Several residents reported items were stolen from their properties including commercial businesses. Although authorities have not ruled out if any EDPs are involved. Residents are advised to be aware of their surroundings.
