Fresh Meadows hookha lounge changed paper works after resistance from local council member

Local council member Rory Lancman fought with city and state to shut down Cloud 9, a former hookah lounge in 179-22 Union Turnpike in Fresh Meadows. On October 20, 2017, the same location re-opened under new name, Junoon operating as hookah lounge. There won't be any alcohol in the premise. On October 29, 2016, an FDNY Lieutenant Leon Michael was shot multiple times outside. Police has not disclosed if the suspect was arrested to this date. Afterward NYS Liquor Authority suspended alcohol in the premise. The management at Junoon stated this time they are very careful.
