Multiple burglary attempts and one invasion in New Hyde Park

Nassau County Police reported a home invasion at a residence in the vicinity of Hillside Avenue and New Hyde Park Road. Police also reported they pulled over an out of state license vehicle on Avon Road and questioned the driver but was released on Saturday. The home invasion occurred on March 29 and police reported there were five suspects with one displaying a weapon. Three suspects had uniforms similar to National Grid and told the resident of a gas leak. No one was injured during the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
