Motorcyclist dead in Astoria after crash

Police reported vehicle collision in Astoria involving a motorcyclist. It happened on September 23 around 9:15pm at the intersection of 24th Avenue and 33rd Street. The dead motorcyclist identified as Mariano Canales, 27 of Queens was making deliveries when he crashed into a van, 2005 Town and Country. The bike, a 2020 Yamaha Chappy has been removed for safety check. The investigation continues.
