Motive still under investigation on the double homicide in Nassau County

Today, the NCPD released first details on the double homicide that occurred in Nassau County over the weekend. The NCPD Commissioner said the alleged male suspect has been charged and today, he pleaded not guilty in Hempstead court after arraignment.

The 22 year old man lived with both roommates who were the victims in Nassau County.

Now the NCPD is working to identify the next of kin for both victims who are not in the country.

The motive as of now from the commissioner is this quote, “I’ll sum it up in one word: anger.”

This is the quote from Nassau County Executive,

“This is just an example of what happens when you open borders. The individual who is now a defendant in this case for two homicides in our county came to this country in 2016 at 12 years of age. That individual was released when apprehended and allowed to stay in this country, even though that individual was an unaccompanied minor.”

The County Executive also said the same was granted a green card in 2022 that was designated for unaccompanied minors, and it allowed him to live and work in the U.S. despite illegally crossing the border.

The investigation continues.
