Motive has an Elmont family talking in court for a relief

One of the longest watched cases in Nassau County has a shocking update today.

The Nassau County DA's office announced a second arrest today and the plot thickens.

This is involving a female victim who was attacked with acid outside her parent's Elmont home in 2021. After detectives worked tirelessly making the first arrest in February this year of a suspect. Then the case went deeper with more details coming out. Today, the female victim's ex-boyfriend was taken into custody and the DA's office announced during today's press release of the planned attack. The DA's office say the ex-boyfriend is the prime suspect and the first arrest of another suspect is now an alleged accomplice.

The whole incident shocked an Elmont community on March 17, 2021 when surveillance video showed the victim, then 21 years old attending a local university and was working at CVS returning home after the shift was over when the suspect came from behind and acid was splashed on her face.

The victim was in court today seeing a closure to the arrest made by the hard working detectives who did not give up as the entire community gave thanks for the outcome.

The investigation continues.
