More rent reliefs for NYC public housing residents

The NY Governor didn't forget public housing residents for the holidays. After announcing $300 to $500 for struggling New Yawkers, the Governor announced $35 million for one year rent relief for NYCHA residents. A great program to relieve rent up to one year paid by taxpayers.

This came after disadvantage due to the pandemic between March 2020 and May 2023 unable to pay the rent due to suffering.

Little by little, the NYCHA is being privatized with Brooklyn scoring the most units with a $1.5 billion deal followed by Manhattan and then Queens. Once privatized, residents will lose the privilege with the government programs.

In the coming weeks, the NY Governor will announce more programs using taxpayer funds to expand government services mainly in NYC after the Mayor refused to align with the migrants. This came after Trump's primary target of three major cities for cleanups, Chicago, NYC and DC.
