More locations announced for child care in NYC

Now the number is over 40,000 seats for child care in NYC expansion mode. Starting this fall, all boroughs will have seats at announced locations for 2K and 3K.

The most are in Queens with 21 followed by 16 in Manhattan, 8 in Brooklyn, 6 in Staten Island and 5 in the Bronx.

This is the locations in Queens for 3K seats scheduled for this fall.

Starting with Astoria, Ditmars-Steinway, Long Island City, Astoria Heights, Jackson Heights, Corona, East Elmhurst, Willets Point, College Point, Maspeth, Middle Village, Ridgewood, Glendale, Richmond Hill, Ozone Park, Forest Hills, Fresh Meadows, Auburndale, Utopia, Hollis, Little Neck, Douglaston, Bellerose, Bellerose Manor, Floral Park, Glen Oaks, Jamaica all sections and all of Far Rockaway. Flushing is not on the list.

NYC has a $5.4 billion budget deficit where watchdog groups say around $5 billion are in the fraud/waste list. The child care starting budget is $425 million for all children regardless of immigration status at 12,000 seats so for the next set onward to billions from taxpayer funds. The budget will cover salaries, perks and other expenses including third party day care vendors.
