More enforcements announced in NYC due to drought

The NYC Mayor announced two more no-no's for the city. One is fireworks and the other is open flames for cooking. Both are halted for future events. At the same time, events involving water are under review pending approval by the city.

This came after 217 brush fires since November 1 in the city, the highest ever and the Mayor says it's all due to drought or lack of rainfall.

The latest brush fire in Queens was reported in Ridgewood around 8am. This is in the vicinity of Fresh Pond Road and Metropolitan Avenue.

Although FDNY has not released what caused the majority of brush fires, the people of the city are advised it's all due to drought.

The Mayor continues to advise all to save water and limit showers and minimal bathroom visits.

The rain coming today to tomorrow may change some tunes for the Mayor.

The FDNY marshal has not released the cause of the fire at Alley Pond Park as of yet which occurred last week.
