Moped driver died after accident on the Nassau Expressway in Laurelton

The NYPD reported a single riding moped driver dies after struck on to the divider. The incident was reported on Saturday around 7:30pm on the Nassau Expressway and Lefferts Blvd intersection.

This is in the eastbound direction.

The city's medical examiner transported the body of a male, 37, to conduct an autopsy.

Highway CIS conducted an investigation on the scene last night and continued to gather evidence to release a report soon.

The identity of the male has not been released to the public as of yet.
