Moped crash with two dead on the Cross Island Parkway southbound

Last night around 2am, police were called to the Cross Island Parkway southbound by 150th Street in Whitestone reporting a moped struck a barrier. Further investigation confirmed a female, 19, was found dead on the scene. Another victim, male, 15, was reported dead at the hospital. Both were residents of Flushing. Police stated the male was driving the moped and the woman was the passenger when the incident occurred.

Highway CIS is continuing with the investigation.
