Many New Yorkers were scared of the tremble

On Saturday night around 10:18pm, a relatively mild 3.0 magnitude earthquake occurred in Hasbrouck Heights, a New Jersey suburb which affected 6.2 miles within the impact zone.

So far, there was no impact but many New Yorkers were worried and some cried of what's going to happen. About 10,000 people went to social media for the "feeling" of the shake felt for a few seconds.

According to geologists, earthquakes occur once every couple of years and so far, 43 other quakes of this level and larger since 1950 within 155 miles have not impacted much.

As for damages, according to the US Geological Survey only two year occurrences caused damages in NYC which are 1737 and 1884.

In the next 50 years, there may be less than 5 and won't have any impact but people will talk about it and newer generations will cry more.
