Man who scared shoppers in Roosevelt Field Mall will have his day with the judge

Aaron Darby, 19, of West Hempstead was trying to sneak out without paying for an item but tripped on a stack of merchandise in Macy's at Roosevelt Field that cause a major scare to shoppers on Christmas Eve. Everyone was evacuated after flood of 911 calls and witnesses explained Darby was the one who caused the noise to security. One of the security tried to apprehend Darby but quickly evaded until another security caught him and put him on the ground. Darby was arrested and charged with larceny but later released with an appearance ticket for January 7 in Hempstead Court. There are few lawsuits among shoppers against each other and Darby since they were injured in the scuffle.
