Man struck by vehicle in Bellerose dead

Police reported a pedestrian struck by vehicle in Bellerose. It happened on Friday, February 2 around 9pm on Little Neck Parkway and 83rd Avenue. The victim, identified as a male, 64 year old died later at North Shore University Hospital. The driver remained on the scene after the incident. The victim was trying to cross Little Neck Parkway at 83rd Avenue. Police stated the driver of Infinity, 2007 year model was heading southbound. The 19 year old male driver has not been charged. The investigation is ongoing. Update - The victim has been identified as Yogalingam Subramaniam, 64 of Bellerose.
