Man fatally shot during dispute inside Queens laundromat

A man was killed after being shot in the head during a dispute inside a Queens laundromat.

It happened just after 8:30 Saturday morning. Police were called to the scene for an assault in progress at Wash and Fold Super Laundry on North Conduit Avenue in Springfield Gardens. When they arrived, they found a 31-year-old Dominick Lowery, who was shot in the head.

Police say some sort of dispute started inside the laundromat and then spilled outside where the shooting happened.

Those who knew Lowery say he has been working the overnight shift at the laundromat for about three years. His mother is also an employee of the laundromat and was there when her son was shot.
