Man charged with attempted murder after domestic dispute in Jamaica

The NYPD reported a domestic dispute turned into stabbing at a home in Jamaica. The incident was reported on Tuesday around 8:30pm on 155th Street near Baisley Blvd.

Police apprehended the male shortly and EMS transported the female victim to a local hospital.

As of today, she is in stable condition.

Police statements say it was over a cigarette smoking inside the home.

The victim's son ran out and called neighbors for help who then dialed 911.

The male suspect has been charged with attempted murder, weapon possession, assault and slew of other charges.

The investigation continues.
