Man attacked by three men outside a pet store in Albertson

Police were called to Pups 4 Love on Willis Avenue reporting assault. It happened on January 31 around 1pm in Albertson. Rino DiMaria of Long Island was recording on his phone of a group delivering puppies to the store and confronted of the issue of puppy mills.

This is when three men who were delivering puppies with Missouri and Arkansas license plates vehicles got out of the car and assault took place. DiMaria managed to call 911 and was taken to hospital with injuries.

Police arrested Christopher Hyde of Missouri and searching for the other two suspects. The store released a statement, "We want to emphasize too that these delivery workers are in no way employed by Pups4Love, and as such we do not control or necessarily condone their own individual words or actions.

The man who verbally insulted the delivery drivers also made allegations that our puppies come from 'puppy mills,' which is untrue." Ongoing investigation.
