Man arrested after entering St Patrick s Cathedral with gas containers

NYPD confirmed the arrest of a suspect seen entering St. Patrick's Cathedral in Manhattan with 2 containers of gas, two lighter fluid and lighters. The security guard stopped the man and a scuffle ensured with gasoline spilled on the floor. The man took off and security alerted police. The suspect was found nearby and taken into custody. The suspect told police his car was out of gas and he was taking a short cut through the church. Police found the car and was not out of gas. NYPD stated due to ongoing investigation, additional details were not provided. Locals stated it was scary after the Notre Dame fire in Paris. The 37 year old man arrived from New Jersey with his mini van carrying four gallons of gasoline inside the church around 8pm.
