Malone male arrested for falsify business records 1st

On April 1, 2025, State Police members arrested Robert C. Maloney, age 51, of Malone, NY, for attempted criminal possession of a weapon and falsify business records 1st.

On March 19, 2025, at approximately 10:35 a.m., State Police members were informed Maloney attempted to purchase a firearm from Dick’s County Store located on Route 11 in the town of Clinton but was denied.  An investigation determined Maloney is a convicted felon and attempted to purchase a firearm knowing he is not allowed to.  Maloney completed the paperwork for the purchase, in which he falsely answered questions.
