Male struck by vehicle dead on LIE westbound

Police closed off the Long Island Expressway westbound at Exit 41 around 8:45pm reporting a male struck by vehicle and dead at the scene. The driver, 67 year old male remained on the scene and is cooperating with the police. No details provided why the male was on the expressway at night. The investigation continues.
