Male died after struck by train in Ozone Park

Last night around 12:45am, local commuters observed a male walking erratically on the tracks on Liberty Avenue and later fell.

This is at the local 88th Street station in Ozone Park.

Shortly, the victim was struck by train and later died.

ESU removed the body and the medical examiner transported it to conduct an autopsy.

There were no other injuries involved at the station.

By 2am, service was restored in both directions.

The investigation continues.
