Mail thefts are on the rise from Floral Park to Glen Oaks

Police reported multiple mail thefts on Union Turnpike between 265 Street to 249 Street. Almost all attempts are on the north side of Union Turnpike. The latest incident reported on May 22 resulted with use of bank card elsewhere in excess of $5,000 from a home near 265 Street. Residents are advised to remove mails in timely manner or have someone make the arrangements. All investigations are ongoing.
