Long timers are wrapping up eateries for good on Long Island

More and more long time eateries mainly catering to European cuisine from Germany, Italy, Greek etc are closing doors for good on Long Island. The latest to announce closing in Nassau County is Seventh Street Cafe this year in Garden City after operating for more than 50 years.

Another one closing in Bellmor is Oak Chalet and slew of others soon to be announced on their own social media pages.

The franchise that closed the most was Wendy's in both counties.

One section continues to increase and it's quick grab sprouting around slowly that's Parisian style with limited seating. Many restaurant critics on Long Island are saying that's the new model working well for the new generation including those who moved to the area recently.

At one time Indian buffets made good headlines and that too has eliminated in most locations.

Times are changing slowly on Long Island on food.
