Long long walk set for tomorrow with the new bus design change

The most powerful organization, MTA, is all set with the new bus route design for Queens.

Starting tomorrow when people go to work, there will be long walks to and from stops after many long time locations have been terminated along with rerouting, and all-day limited-stop “Rush” service on many routes. Also, a second free transfer is in effect.

This is part of the $33.7 million overhaul project the MTA proposed and approved with 11 new routes of the total 124 to service new 100,000 riders near the frequent services every 10 minutes. Around 70,000 new riders have access to 24/7 service mainly in the western Queens.

The project is not complete as more changes are in effect starting tomorrow where some locations will have service removed or relocated. This is phase one so more phases are coming soon after making changes in 70 years for the first time.

Already there was a protest today at 10am organized by Passengers United against the Queens Bus Network Redesign at the former Q110 route on Springfield Blvd to 179th Street. The organization wants all to come forward after 1,800 stops have been eliminated for their lawsuit.
