Long Island continue to report pedestrian fatalities

The latest incident of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Long Island reported this morning around 9am in Lindenhurst on Sunrise Highway where a male, 60 years old, died. The victim was struck by trucks while crossing with a bicycle. This is near Buffalo Avenue.

Both drivers remained on the scene and continued to cooperate with the police.

The recent one was reported in Elmont on August 5 around 9:30pm where a bicyclist was struck by a hit and run incident resulting in the victim, male, 77, died later at the hospital. This is in the vicinity of Meacham Avenue and McClure Avenue.

So far no arrests.
