Light rain and windy forecast has the city on alert in the area

From Winchester Blvd, Commonwealth Blvd, Union Turnpike, Little Neck Parkway, Hillside Avenue and all inside roads of Floral Park, Bellerose, Glen Oaks and New Hyde Park had Dept of Sanitation trucks throwing salts on all city roads.
