Knifepoint robberies are on high alert in Jamaica

Last night around 2am, a victim was robbed on Jamaica Avenue. This is by 161st Street in Jamaica. A witness stated this was a drive by robbery targeting victims in the area. Police described the four suspects as males, black who took off in a gray Nissan Altima.

EMS treated the victim on the scene who was shaken visibly.

So far no arrests.

This is the 11th incident in the same area.

Residents are advised to stay alert and not walk alone but in groups.

Ongoing investigation.
