Kitten rescued from storm drain

This little kitten is feline fine today after being rescued from the bottom of a storm drain in Franklin Square by 5th Precinct officers Police Giesler, Kelleher, Mielko, and Alvarado. They responded after Mary Lou Bakidis-Alpi called the #NassauCountyPD when she spotted the cat in the drain.  We're happy to report that the kitten - now called Scrappy! - received a clean bill of health and has been adopted by Mary Lou's niece. Welcome to the 5th Precinct, Scrappy! Don't use any more of your nine lives.
