It was moving for the Staten Island residents on the East River

The regular large Staten Island ferry was traveling on the East River to Manhattan to the Whitestone vicinity today. While locals were wondering what's going on, it was a special ride for more than 2,000 Staten Island residents with special needs of all ages.

This was organized by God's Exceptional Children in cooperationg with the city.

Local residents around the Whitestone area saw the boat with smiles.

The organization helps people with special needs in the five boroughs.

This ride was their 45th year.
