Homicide investigation reported in Jamaica

The NYPD closed off 108th Avenue in Jamaica reporting of a male, 18, found shot inside a home around 10:45am this morning. EMS transported the victim to a local hospital where he died shortly.

This is by 172nd Street close to Merrick Blvd. Police have more than five people from the location under questioning.

Several neighbors say the home has been abandoned now occupied with squattors after illegal conversions. The building dept officials are also on the scene.

The investigation continues.
