Homicide investigation ongoing on Long Island

The SCPD reported a domestic violence turned fatal on Long Island. The incident was reported on Bruno Lane in Dix Hills, Suffolk County this morning.

Police have one of the family members, a son, in custody for questioning.

Local residents near Straight Path are shocked with the incident.

The medical examiner transported the body to conduct an autopsy.

The investigation continues.

The SCPD reported this is the second homicide of the week in Suffolk County. On March 15, a victim was shot dead in Central Islip while sitting inside a vehicle in front of his home on Annie Lane. Today, police arrested the suspect and charged with murder in the second degree.
