Homicide investigation in the East Elmhurst

The NYPD is on Humphreys Street in East Elmhurst reporting a male shot. This is by 25th Avenue near the local playground.

EMS is working to transport the bullet victim to a local hospital but confirmed died on the scene.

The medical examiner is enroute to transport the body for autopsy.

The suspect took off in a vehicle toward the Grand Central Parkway.

ESU recovered shell casings.

Ongoing investigation.
