Homicide investigation in Nassau County

The Homicide Squad is investigating an incident that occurred on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 9:10 AM in Sands Point.
According to Detectives, Sands Point Police responded to a 911 call from a resident who was walking along the beach and discovered a dead body in the vicinity of 30 Plum Beach Point. The victim was pronounced deceased by Sands Point Fire Department Ambulance personal and appeared to be a male in his 50’s. The investigation is ongoing.
