Homicide investigation in East Meadow

Police reported fatality in East Meadow. It happened today around 3:30am. According to detectives, police responded to the Nassau University Medical Center, located at 2201 Hempstead Turnpike, for a male laying on the ground with serious injuries. The male victim, 34, was pronounced deceased by the medic. The preliminary investigation shows the male broke a window on the eighth floor before jumping and suffering self-inflicted fatal wounds. The identity of the deceased is being withheld at this time pending family notification. The investigation is ongoing.
