Homeowners got relief on their lien sale

The NYC mayor is out of town and today NY governor announced the lien sale of thousands of home in NYC is off. Cuomo signed an executive order today giving homeowners relief on their home and water bills. It's $57 million loss for NYC and the mayor would have to find alternative source of income. It was delayed in May of this year and the extension continues until September 25. There is no deduction but ample time to pay without penalty and interest. A lien is an attachment when homeowner doesn't pay property taxes or water bills and the city sells to private companies who then sell homes in auction to retrieve the dues. Then gives the balance payment from the auction to the owner who will have to find elsewhere to live.
