Home invasion by fake cops in Flushing

Police reported home invasion in Flushing. It happened on October 5 around 11:30pm on Sanford Avenue when two suspects posing as cops with fake uniforms and badges entered the victim's home. The homeowner said he heard a knock and looked out from the window believing they were cops with all the looks of one. Once the victim opened the door, the suspect pushed him to the floor and then tied them up using duct tape. The male victim was tasered twice. The suspects took cash and other items including $10,000 cash. After the damage is done, the suspects apologized and left. Ongoing investigation. The victims are senior citizens the male is a retired cabbie and the female works as property manager.
