Hit and run with one dead on Long Island

The SCPD reported a hit and run with one dead on the Veterans Memorial Highway on Long Island. The incident was reported this morning around 5am near 5th Avenue.

The medical examiner transported the body to conduct an autopsy. Police are searching for the vehicle, a gray sedan that took off eastbound Veterans Memorial Highway.

So far no arrests.
