Hit and run with one dead in Woodside

The NYPD reported this morning a hit and run in Woodside with a pedestrian dead. The incident was reported around 4:15am on 25th Avenue near 50th Avenue.

Police are working to identify the vehicle.

The victim's identity is released pending family notification.

Also this morning around 6:30am, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Whitestone. This is on Utopia Parkway near 28th Avenue. EMS transported the victim to a local hospital. The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the police.

Both incidents are under investigation.
