Highlanders are having suspects hard time in northeast Queens

The NYPD reported Toyota Highlander is the number one target for suspect's list for the most demand and now it's getting hard to do the job in northeast Queens and part of Nassau County.
The suspects are waiting for the next demand vehicle from their superiors to target and it's definetly not Mercedes Benz due to having a used one is not good for status if exported to other countries.
As of 2025 from the previous Mayor's office, over 1,000 Highlanders have been stolen in tri state as the number one demand by suspects which is under Toyota. The next demand is Honda wheels which has seen spikes last year especially in Glen Oaks, Bellerose and Little Neck. At one time Glen Oaks was the top spot for wheel thefts.
The Toyota Highlander has earned its reputation as one of the most reliable and versatile midsize SUVs on the market.
