Hicksville insurance broker arrested for identity theft

Sardar Nasarullah, 62 of Huntington was taken into custody on Monday, November 20 and charged with insurance fraud, theft, identity theft, falsifying business and defrauding victims. Police reported Nasarullah allegedly forged his business customers names while operating Commercial Business Insurance Brokerage Corp in Hicksville by falsifying insurance claims. The fraud activity was disclosed from June 22, 2006 to March 4, 2016 according to Nassau County DA's office. Also, DA's office confirmed that Nasarullah and his company filed fraud applications to auto insurance companies using some of the victims without their knowledge as drivers. If convicted, Nasarullah is heading to jail for 2 to 7 years and fines.
