Heavy fire at the local mall in Garden City

Firefighters report heavy fire at the local mall in Garden City. This is at the Grand Lux Cafe by Old Country Road. The fire started in the kitchen around 9am and extended throughout the location. Now reporting it’s a third alarm. EMS is checking on all involved.

Heavy smoke in the area.

Firefighters are working on the scene.
