Heavy fire at a laundromat in Astoria

Around 12pm today, FDNY reported 2nd alarm at a local laundromat in Astoria. This is on Astoria Blvd at 37-20. The fire started in the roof and extended to the interior.

EMS transported the injured to local hospitals.

By 1pm, the fire was brought under control.

Firefighters continue to work on the scene.

The cause of fire is under investigation.
