Heavy delay on the LIE eastbound

Long Island Expressway eastbound is facing heavy delays due to three vehicle accidents on the same spot.

This is after the Midtown Tunnel Expressway in Queens.

First, there was a vehicle accident and a NYS Trooper stopped the vehicle to assist. Then another vehicle hit the NYS Trooper's vehicle which was parked while assisting the original accident.

One of the drivers took off and is now on the hunt.

Avoid the route for now.
